 Life  Returns...

M K Harikumar
 Translation : Sujatha Sasindran

That day,
quite coincidentally,
He realized that
he had been living.

The sense of loss,
can be seen in everything
like fuming hearth.
The continent of love,
and its warmth spreads
in birds flying and floating clouds
And even in the blooming flowers.

The memories of the
unknowing life and love
fell down somewhere
like the scales of a fish.

He has the intense longing
to see and love the ones,
whom he had lost once.
Do they recognize him ?
That misplaced words
and unwanted quarrels !

But he was not aware of them
because, he was not living then
That’s the Truth,
But who believes it ?
He had been living
but couldn’t convince
To whom ?
Himself or anyone else..

Now the past memories
swarm into his mind
It is time to mend
that meaningless life once lead
And must diagnose each memories
in a hundred times.

There might definitely be one  face,
‘One loving face’,
A crescent moon,
unfinished by the rabid stars
and a coral reef,
unpricked by the melancholic fish.

A peacock peel which is
not sought after by
the fever-stricken dreamers.
A tempted vegetation
with ancient plants and  trees.
